CRISPR gRNA Synthesis (CRISPR Construct Synthesis)
CRISPR gRNA Synthesis service can synthesize the CRISPR sequence, clone it into your vector of choice, and perform sequence verification. CRISPR gene editing makes highly flexible, highly specific, and affordable genome engineering possible. Enabling almost any genomic target to be modified in any organism that can express exogenous DNA, CRISPR/Cas9 and other CRISPR-associated systems continue to revolutionize the field of genome engineering. This service is labeled as CRISPR Construct Synthesis in our CLIMS4 ordering system.
What is gRNA?
Guide RNA (gRNA) is an RNA sequence that serves to guide the editing process – directing the CRISPR associated nuclease (Cas nuclease) over to the target DNA region of interest.
What is synthetic sgRNA?
Synthetic sgRNA, or single guide RNA, is a synthetically generated single RNA molecule that contains the nucleotide sequence complementary to the target DNA (also known as CRISPR RNA or crRNA for short) and a tracrRNA that enables the Cas nuclease to bind.
What is the difference between sgRNA and gRNA?
The difference between sgRNA (single guide RNA) and gRNA (guide RNA) is that sgRNA contains both crRNA and tracrRNA fused into one RNA molecule. Meanwhile, gRNA (guide RNA) is a general term for all guide RNAs used with CRISPR. Synthetic sgRNA is better optimized for genome engineering compared to other guide RNAs, as it allows for fast, reliable, and reproducible editing results.
